Diller’s Three Outcomes

Leadership Skills:

Fellows develop practical leadership skills through workshops, retreats, and community projects, empowering them to take initiative and make a difference.

Enhanced Jewish Identity:

The program helps teens explore and solidify their Jewish identity, often leading to a stronger connection to their heritage and community.

Tikkun Olam:

Fellows actively participate in Tikkun Olam projects, applying their leadership skills to address community needs and make a tangible impact.

Diller Partnerships

The programme is a commitment for the entire Fellowship year and includes a partnership model, which pairs each Diller community outside of Israel with a community in Israel.

The two cohorts connect and work together throughout the year. During a weeklong exchange called Jewish Community Mifgash (JCM), Israeli Fellows travel to their partnership community to deepen their understanding of Jewish life outside of Israel and form long-lasting personal relationships with their peers, who, in turn, experience hosting and seeing their community through the eyes of another.

Home Hospitality

Our partnership community, Matte Asher, will visit us each year before Pesach! Fellows will take part in home hospitality; one of the most meaningful and memorable components of the Diller Teen Fellows experience as Fellows become part of your family life for the week.

This is a unique opportunity to build deep, personal connections, learn about each other’s cultures and traditions, and share the everyday realities of the UK community. Home hospitality becomes a lifelong friendship and is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity !

“Last year I hosted two Israelis in my home for a few days, and it ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the program. Offering them a place to stay turned into an opportunity to truly get to know them. We talked, shared meals, played games, and spent real time understanding each other’s lives and experiences. Having them in my home made everything feel more personal and meaningful, and it showed me how quickly a simple visit can turn into a real connection. I’d encourage this year’s group to be open to the experience. You might be surprised by how much it stays with you.”

- Eli Saltman, Essex, Cohort 9 Fellow

"We loved hosting two Israeli Diller participants. The experience allowed our son to build genuine, lasting friendships and we also enjoyed connecting with their families. Opening our home gave us a meaningful window into their lives in Israel and it truly enriched our entire family. " - Gemma Peters, London

Meeting likeminded fellows from the UK and around the world really opened my eyes to how Jews globally share the same cultures and ideas. Meeting these new faces has changed my life!
— Ethan Rosen, Fellow Cohort 7 (22/23)
Being a Diller team fellow and JC gave me an incredible opportunity to develop skills and attributes that have helped me grow both personally and professionally. I also loved meeting Jewish people from around the world, showing me how varied and connected we are as a people. I would recommend this Programme to everyone!

Joining Diller was one of the best decisions I ever made. It gave me an environment to meet amazing friends locally and around the world, which I never thought possible. It provided an opportunity for me to learn so much about myself and this gave me so much more confidence than before. It is an incredible, fun experience and everyone should take this opportunity.
