Israel Tour – FZY’s educational journey for 16-year-olds (Year 11 in England, Year 4 in Scotland), lasting approximately four weeks, allows our chanichim to really see Israel and experience its diversity, history, culture and relevance to them as young British Jews. From Tsfat to Eilat, Rosh Hanikra to Jerusalem, our participants travel the length and breadth of the country, experiencing the sights and feelings of Israel when enjoying activities such as swimming in the Kinneret, standing by the Western Wall, partying in Eilat and hiking round the beautiful waterfalls of the Galil. Some FZY tours are joined by Israelis from our sister movement the Tsofim (Scouts), and all groups meet up with teenagers from America, enabling them to interact with and learn from other young Jews from around the world. FZY Israel Tour provides an incredible opportunity to see Israel in ways never seen before.

Participants in the programme not only have the opportunity to interact with Americans, Canadians, Israelis and even English-speaking Russians of a similar age group, but they are also able to take advantage of the fantastic facilities TY has to offer, such as a newly built swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts and a Ropes Course. The programme also involves a 4 day long field trip which will most likely take in a number of historical and cultural sites in Washington DC and New York City.
