What
is it?
Introducing one of FZY's highly successful summer camps, Kesher. If you
are 15 years old (Year 10) and looking for an exciting summer with lots
of fun where you will meet new people and have new experiences, then Kesher
is the camp for you.
Food
All food will be Kosher. We also cater for vegetarians and vegans as well
as special diets. We will provide three full nutritious meals a day plus
a chance to buy snacks at our tuck shop.
Health
There will be at least one qualified first-aider on site at all times.
In addition, all participants will be registered with a local doctor for
the duration of the camp.
Travel
The price of Kesher includes the cost of transport from departure points
designated by FZY. We will provide supervised travel from these departure
points to camp. Arrangements will be made for those who do not live near
these points.
Subsidies
FZY believes that financial ability should not prevent anyone from
participating in Kesher. Confidential bursaries are available to help
any participant who otherwise would not be able to attend. To be considered
for a subsidy please write to the Machanot Subsidy Committee at the
FZY office. All requests are treated in the strictest of confidence.
Staff
With at least one leader to every four participants and full supervision
24 hours a day, we uphold our belief that good staffing is crucial to
a successful camp. All staff at Kesher are experienced, dedicated Jewish
Youth leaders, the majority of whom have graduated from year-long leadership
programmes in Israel.
Cancellation/Insurance
No monies will be returned after the final date of cancepllation. Applicants
are strongly advised to make their own insurance arrangements to cover
the loss of deposit and/or full payment due to cancellation. Applicants
are also advised to arrange personal insurance for their child's belongings
and medical insurance too. A specific holiday insurance policy would normally
cover these areas.
